Salasar Balaji is Hanuman temple located in town of Salasar, Rajasthan. This temple is now considered as a Shakti Sthal and self-manifestation of Lord Hanuman and is believed to be miraculous by the devotees. This temple is in the circuit where the other important pilgrimages – Rani Sati temple and Khatushyamji temple are centered.
The principal deity of Salasar Balaji is Lord Hanuman and in this temple, the Lord is depicted in unlike other temples of Hanuman. Here Balaji is a round faced lord with a moustache and beard. This makes Lord Hanuman very unique among all the Hanuman temples in India and the world. The temple was constructed in 1754 AD. The temple was inspired by a bizarre dream of Mohandas Maharaj who was the founder of the temple. It is believed that the water in the wells of Salasar is due to the blessings of Lord Hanuman. Millions of devotees throng the temple during the Chaitra Purnima and Aswin Purnima. And this temple is believed to fulfill the wishes and show miracle in their life. Rituals and Prasad: Devotees who come to this temple they tie coconuts with moli in the temple premises. It is believed that this practice fulfills their wishes.
